After completing her postgraduation in HR from the prestigious Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies, Sheela began her career at the plant level with Apcotex Lattices Ltd., a division of Asian Paints. This early exposure laid the groundwork for her deep understanding of grassroots workforce dynamics, labour relations, and industrial HR practices.

Over the years, Sheela worked across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, FMCG, and multinational environments—taking on roles that demanded both strategic insight and operational rigour.
